Open Question: How can I make the leap from C-plus-plus in UNIX to Windows?

I am fairly decent at programming in C for UNIX, although I never really grasped “classes” too well. Now, I’d like to get into programming for Windows Apps. I’ve had a moderate amount of C experience, (grade of A earned in 2 semesters of college C programming).

Are there any books designed for someone like me, to make the jump from an adequate knowledge of C-plus-plus into development for a GUI system?

I’d like to know what book has helped you, or if online resources were adequate.

Thanks!
Also - This will basically be the first introduction to an IDE for me. It’s always been UNIX before but I’m moving to the free microsoft IDE
